DOCTRINAL STATEMENT

 Doctrinal Statement

Salvation Bible College subscribes to the following basic doctrines:
  • We believe that God is the one true and living God existing as three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; and that He is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, unchangeable in His love, mercy, power, wisdom and righteousness. (Is. 45:22; 40:25,26; Jn. 4:24; 2 Cor.13:14)
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that at His first coming He became incarnate through His virgin birth; that He is perfect both in His deity and humanity; that He arose from the dead in his physical glorified body with which He is now seated in heaven, making intercession for believers. We believe that His second coming will be personal and premillennial and is imminent. (Jn.1:14-18; 1 Cor. 15; Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:13-18)

  • We believe that the Holy Spirit is equal in every attribute of deity with God the Father and God the Son; that He performs the miracle of the new birth in those receiving Christ as Saviour; that He is resident now in believers; that He seals them unto the day of redemption; and that He empowers them for service.  1 Cor. 12:12-13; 6:19; Eph. 4-30 Acts 1:5; Tit. 3:5)

  • We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation to man, verbally inspired and inerrant in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice. (2 Tim.3:15-17; 2 Pet.1:20-21; Matt.5:18)

  • We believe that the true church is the body and bride of Christ, composed of all born-again believers from Pentecost to the return of Christ for the Church; and that the local church is a congregation of believers existing for fellowship and edification, and for communicating the gospel to all nations by means of Christian life and witness. (Eph.5:23-33; 1 Thess. 1:1-10; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Cor 12:13)

  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, but through Adam's sin became alienated from God and is condemned to eternal punishment. The only remedy for man's condition is salvation by personal faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ. (Jn. 3:15-18; Eph. 1:7; Rom. 10: 9-10)

  • We believe that finite supernatural personal beings exist, including both fallen and unfallen angels (demons). Satan, the leader of the fallen angels, is the open and declared enemy of God and man and is doomed to the Lake of Fire. (Heb. 1:4-14; Jude 6; Matt. 25:41; Rev. 20:10)
